Limbo Riviera Urn

The Limbo water soluble urns allow for the dignified and graceful laying to rest of ashes at sea or within fresh water. They are designed to peacefully disperse the ashes within the water way, returning them to nature.

The Riviera Urn is a beautiful handcrafted biodegradable urn, which can be decorated with messages and drawings before being placed into the water. It has a decorative rope and starfish, which can be separated and kept as a souvenir for comfort. The urn is crafted out of cellulose and is 100% biodegradable – designed to cast ashes in the sea the natural way. It will dissolve into the waves within a few minutes and full dissolution time is generally between five and ten minutes. We are the exclusive UK distributor of the Limbo Riviera Urn. Dimensions – 25cm tall, 15cm diameter, 1.2kg weight and 4 litre capacity.

How to use the Limbo Riviera Urn:

    1. Take out the water soluble bag from the urn.
    2. Cut the strap and keep it to close the bag.
    3. Place the open bag inside the urn and place the ashes inside, before tying with the strap.
    4. Use the glue supplied to seal the lid onto the urn.
    5. Remove the rope and starfish to keep as a souvenir, if you wish to.
    6. Place the urn into the water and watch the urn dissolve and the ashes disperse.

To help you with size and choosing the correct product we have a simple step by step guide.

  1. Start by taking some digital scales and the container of ashes that you would have received from the crematorium.
  2. Place this box onto the digital scales and weigh the ashes.
  3. If the ashes are contained in a poly-tub, remove 230g from the additional weight. If they are in a cremation box, remove 200g from the weight.
  4. Our rule of thumb is that every kilogram of cremated remains equates to 1 litre of ashes.
  5. This means if you have approximately 3 kilograms of cremated remains you will need to purchase an urn of between 3-4 litres in capacity.
  6. We have products to suit all needs, available from 0.025 litre through to 8 litre capacities.
