Glass Cuddle Stone – Autumn Fall

New and exclusive to Yarwood Memorials and crafted by artisans in Somerset – these tactile cuddle stones are hand-blown from glass in five beautiful colour ways, and are smaller than our very popular glass memory pebbles. Designed to hold a small token of a loved ones ashes or a token of hair, they can be comfortably held in the palm of your hand and taken on your travels.

The underneath of the keepsake has a firm stopper that keeps the ashes safely and securely inside. Once the ashes or lock of hair have been interred, the stopper may be sealed with a small amount of glue for added security and peace of mind.

All glass children’s urns, cuddle stones and memory pebbles are beautifully packaged in a grey and silver box.

Dimensions – 6cm across, 2cm deep and 25g/0.025L capacity.

Start by taking some digital scales and the container of ashes that you would have received from the crematorium.
Place this box onto the digital scales and weigh the ashes.
If the ashes are contained in a poly-tub, remove 230g from the additional weight. If they are in a cremation box, remove 200g from the weight.
Our rule of thumb is that every kilogram of cremated remains equates to approximately 1 litre of ashes.
This means if you have 3 kilograms of cremated remains you will need to purchase an urn of between 3-4 litres in capacity.

Product Instructions:

Luxury Glass Urns

Mouth blown to create a hollow, single piece of glass
Finished with an ornate aluminium alloy cast lid
Includes a silk bag to hold the ashes internally, to keep them safe and secure
The lid can simply rest on top of the urn, held in place by the glass lip, or it can be sealed with the glue provided

How to inter the urn and seal the lid with the provided glue:

Remove the lid and open the silk bag inside the urn.
Inter the ashes slowly into the bag, using a funnel if required.
Tie the silk bag tightly and ensure it is neatly inside the urn.
If you choose to seal the lid, take the tube of glue and carefully place several small dots of glue around the rim of the lid.
Press the lid firmly onto the shoulders of the urn in the desired position.
Leave the glue to set for a few hours, or ideally overnight.
Ensure that the urn is never lifted by the lid.

Glass Memory Pebbles, Cuddle Stones & Child Urns

Mouth blown to create a hollow, single piece of glass
Has a secure plastic stopper in the base
Although it is not necessary, a small amount of glue or silicone can be applied to the stopper for added peace of mind (not included)

How to inter the Glass Memory Pebbles, Cuddles Stones & Child Urns:

Remove the stopper from the base, carefully using the back of a teaspoon to lift the stopper if required.
Place the stopper safely to one side.
Inter the ashes slowly into the cavity, using a plastic or makeshift paper funnel.
If interring a lock of hair, use a ribbon or band to keep the hairs together.
Once interred, push the stopper firmly to secure the keepsake.
If you choose to seal the stopper, place a few small dots of glue around the sides of the stopper before firmly pushing the stopper in.
